In November 2022, the Bond Bank issued $23,500,000 in both taxable and tax-exempt bonds. The 2022IJ Bonds financed the construction Station #20 Firehouse, Indianapolis Fire District (“IFD”) Capital Improvements, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, and City Market Improvements. The Series 2022IJ bonds will contribute $7M to fund land acquisition and construction of a new modern facility to service the area. IFD has identifies various high priority capital improvement projects which will be funded by proceeds of the Series 2022IJ bonds. The Series 2022IJ bonds will contribute $12M for projects including the redesign and reconstruction of the West Plaza and Wabash Alley, and improvements to the historic Market House and Catacombs. Proceeds of the Series 2022IJ bonds will be used to fund various sidewalk, streetscape, and landscaping upgrades, along with the installation of additional features complimenting the Landmark for Peace Memorial.
