In November 2023, the Bond Bank issued $448,360,000 in Hotel Revenue bonds. The Series 2023E, 2023F-1, 21023F-2, 2023G bonds financed a 800,000 square foot full service upper-upscale 38-story convention center hotel with approximately 800 rooms. The Signia by Hilton Hotel project will include a sky lounge restaurant and bar, lobby lounge bar, speakeasy night club, three-meal signature restaurant. Other amenities include a business center, fitness center, spa, hair salon, and parking garage. The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis will enhance the tourism and hospitality corridor along Georgia Street, connecting Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center. The Hotel project and convention center expansion will enable Indianapolis to host multiple conventions simultaneously, compete nationally for larger citywide groups, and capture previously unaccommodated demand. Multiple organizations that rely on hotel room availability have publicly stated their support in the Convention Center Hotel project. A non-exhaustive list includes Indiana Sports Corp, FDIC International, FFA (Future Farmers of America), the NFL (National Football League), and Gen Con. The project economic impact in new business from this convention center hotel is $69.3 million. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2026.
