In December 2023, the Bond Bank issued $21,980,000 of Redevelopment District Bonds, backed by a Special Benefits Tax and with a 501c3 bond designation. The Series 2023H bonds financed the purchase of the Broad Ripple Park Family Center. The Family Center Building in Broad Ripple Park was rebuilt and opened in January of 2023. The new facility increases the capacity to serve and offer more valuable resources to community members. Broad Ripple Park serves more than 300,000 people through a wide variety of programs throughout the year. The new facility boasts a colorful interior that overlooks the White River with a long list of amenities including an indoor walking track, gymnasium, group exercise rooms, multipurpose rooms, group meeting space, and a children’s play area equipped with an indoor playground and party room. The new facility was developed in partnership with a local community non for profit healthcare group, which leases a portion of the building.
